About Johanna
Here's a little bit about me to let you know the kind of person you're going to get!
For many years I worked as a Teacher of the Deaf, both in Africa and the UK.
Then I had a complete career change and owned and ran a beautiful Tudor Tearooms in the heart of Warwick, right next to the famous Castle.
What do these things tell you about me? That I'm caring, organised, hard-working, enjoy travel and experiencing new adventures, love being with people (including children, of course!),
I’m proficient in BSL (British Sign Language) - and I'm partial to tea and cake!
I love to be involved in all local and community events.
In my free time the thing I love most in the world is to hang out with my two young grandchildren - I'm so lucky that they live down the road.
I adore singing, and am a member of some local choirs. In fact, I love to be involved in all local and community events.
I love cooking, campervanning, reading, going to music festivals and to the theatre - and, at the moment, my life project is learning to play the piano.
My favourite place to be is in a pub, with a pint, catching up with friends.
I just feel so honoured and privileged to play a part in your special days.
I love being a Celebrant, as it combines doing all the things I like best - meeting new friends, listening to your stories, writing them down so that I can re-tell them in a natural and dynamic way, presenting to an audience....
Most of all, I just feel so honoured and privileged to play a part in your special days, bringing in some sunlight, whatever the weather!
If this resonates with you, you've come to the right place!
